Bio
Louise Coleman has been on stage all her life... as a ballet dancer. An innate performer, she was a member of the Australian Ballet School and a regular participant in local and national dance competitions before her height brought an end to her dreams of working professionally. Yet it wasn't long before she discovered a new passion in creating music. Coleman wrote her first song at the age of 7, and now at 20 years of age she has recorded her debut EP entitled 'Yours To Find', containing 5 tracks as original and unique as they are varied. 'Yours To Find' demonstrates Coleman's insightful abilities as a songwriter as well as her versatile and emotive vocals. Coleman's earliest musical influences revolve around long drives on family holidays, singing along to the Beach Boys and the Beatles, whilst later such artists as Billy Joel and Crowded House have inspired her creativity both musically and lyrically. She is drawn to music that is real and meaningful, and this is reflected in the music she herself writes. A unique quality of Coleman's music is the balance in all facets of her songs - her strengths are displayed equally and plentifully across the board, as a vocalist, as a songwriter, and as a performer.
