Louis O. Saunders

Louis O. Saunders is a native of North Carolina, presently residing in Winston-Salem N.C. The son of a A.M.E. minister, he cut his teeth eating, drinking and breathing church morning, noon and night. Louis graduated from North Carolina A&T State University with a B.S. in Business Administration. After graduating from college and moving to Winston-Salem he made friends with a bass player who at the time was making the transition from bass to guitar. “ He got me started, the first time I felt that bass note explode from that Kustom Speaker, it went right through me, I was hooked on the bass.” They played music together everyday for several years as best friends. They later hooked up with some other musicians and formed a local funk band that played in some of the local clubs in the late 70’s.

Fast forwarding to 2004, Louis stepped out on faith and embarked on his life long dream of writing gospel music. His songs carry over that funky R&B sound and feel of the 70’s and blends and fuses with the contemporary sound of Gospel as we know it today. His collaborations of Gospel songs express his personal spiritual feelings of every trail and tribulation, every joy and celebration that he has experience in his life. These are the same spiritual feelings we all experience as we press forward to the mark of the “High Calling.”
