Bio

Louis Tremblay never really liked playing music as a kid. His parents who where both musicians signed him up for piano lessons by age 6. The family rule was that he had to do at least 2 hours a day of either schoolwork or piano. So for Louis, music was another chore preventing him from going with the kids he'd hear laughing, right outside the room where he sat, stranded with his piano.

After a few years of complaining, not eating his vegetables, and some hardcore pouting, his parents finally gave up on making him a musician and he never touched his piano again for 10 years.

Then came adolescence and a certain talent show in high school, where he watched friends instantly becoming heroes by playing a Blink 182 cover. Like any other attention-seeking teenager, he realized that strumming a few simple chords over and over was definitely something he could do and that this might finally be his chance to shine. Moreover, it turned out having musician parents was not so bad after all, he was the only kid in the neighborhood allowed to have a drum set in the house. So with that definite advantage, he was able to form his first band called The Green Invaders. After playing drums, bass and guitar in an everchanging line-up, he finally ended up as the lead singer of this punk-hardcore act.

In fact "singer" was a bit far-fetched to describe the throat noises and nasal whine that was coming out of his mouth. Although they did get a good following and people who liked that sound, after a few years of trying to scream his way to glory, Louis had the most success at messing up his vocal chords and losing most of his voice. Aux grands maux les grands remèdes, he then moved to Los Angeles and trained with a vocal coach who completely changed his vision of singing. Done with the screaming, on with the smooth falsettos and soothing melodies. Being a calm and soft-spoken person, he finally felt he had found the perfect musical fit.

Recently back in Montreal, Louis wants to carry his gentle ballads to your ears and bring you back to the basic: a sincere guitar, dreamy vocals, your friends beside you... what else would you want?
