Lou Lu & the Boy

Lou Lu and the Boy presented themselves to the world for the first time in March 2011. Since then they have rapidly risen in status around the Liverpool Music scene and are being sought after by some of the biggest promoters in the City. Simon Finley (Sound of Guns) recorded their first EP in September 2011 & Mike Crossey (Arctic Monkeys,NME, Blood Red Shoes) is set to work with these guys in the near future. They don't fit into any trendy genre of the moment but have instead created their own. After many references to the same two things they've been labelled as 'Tarantisney' a cross between Tarantino & Disney; a comparison they're quite happy with. Though much of the lyrical content of their material take on big topics, it is delivered in such a way so that for every serious point they make, massive tunes and captivating performances make them a doddle to swallow. Louisa Lucy & Roy (hence the name) are each strong enough to front a band in their own right and to have three such characters work so well as a unit is a rarity and a sight not to be missed. This line up is the only line up Lou Lu & the Boy could ever be. The are many people who will find something within this band they are drawn to.
