Bio
David Johnson a.k.a Lou Savage began writing poetry at the age of 13 with a love and ear for good music. His mother sang in the church choir and loved music and played it constantly in his youth. Lous' mother exposed him to legendary artists like Anita Baker, Luther Vandross, Whitney Houston and many other soul singers .. Lou developed his love for music by becoming a member of The Rayville High School Marching Bands infamous drum-line. The Rayville Drum-line was one of the best in the state of Louisiana led by the best director Herman Wallace winning numerous competitions. As he grew he gravitated more towards the world of hip hop which represented his reality growing up fatherless in the tough and often violent streets of Louisiana. Lou has experienced life in its rawest forms surviving obstacles which may have broken the spirit of most.Instead of allowing his circumstances to break him Lou used the experiences as fuel to propel him forward both musically and spiritually. Lou Savages music is influenced by artists such as Soulja Slim, Master P, The Hot Boyz Twista, and C.M.B. and by local DJ's Jubilee, DJ Wild Wayne, DJ Roe and DJ Black and Mild. just to name a few. Lou Savage is a multi-talented artist skilled not only in writing and spitting lyrics but also poetry, novels and screenplays. With a look and stature suitable for modeling and the charismatic personality for acting Lou is most definitely a rare breed. Lou Savages level of creativity is a diamond in the ruff .Sit back take a listen and enjoy the ride !
