Lyrics

For The Stars

Written By: Alex Isley

this reminds me of a dream yeah

I just want to see the end yeah

things are harder than they seem yeah

keep running away form me yeah but why

I'm pretty sure that I don't want the world in my hands that ain't what I said

so what's so painful about holding my hand my hand is that much too grand

can you love me where we are or am I reaching for the stars

can you really handle where we are or am I reaching for the stars

close your eyes and just pretend yeah

in a maze that never ends yeah

how amazing it could be yeah

if both you and i could win yeah but how

I'm not the type to go for all the world in my hands that ain't what I said

so what's so scary about holding my hand my hand is that much too grand

can you love me where we are or am I reaching for the stars

can you really handle where we are or am I reaching for the stars

am i getting close baby

have i gone too far baby?
could you love me now baby?
am i getting close baby?
could you love me here baby?

can you love me where we are or am I reaching for the stars

can you really handle where we are or am I reaching for the stars

About Him

Written By: Alex Isley

About Him

You're like sugar so sweet

I know this one's for me

It don't matter whatever the weather

'Cause you're mine rain or shine

And when I call you, darlin'

Can't help but smile

time can stop forever

that would be fine, I'm where I wanna be

I really wanna make you see

If they don't know nothing else, they know I'm about you

I'm telling everyone I know this song is about you

And I'mma sing it all day all night 'cause I want to

I wanna tell the whole wide world 'bout your love, your love, your love

It feels just like the first day

What you give me, it don't change

And remember I ain't leaving never

You're who I'm here for

Yeah I'm yours

And when I call you, darlin'

Can't help but smile

time can stop forever

that would be fine, I'm where I wanna be

I really wanna make you see

If they don't know nothing else, they know I'm about you

I'm telling everyone I know this song is about you

And I'mma sing it all day all night 'cause I want to

I wanna tell the whole wide world 'bout your love, your love, your love

La la la la la la la…..

I'm telling everyone I know this song is about you

And I'mma sing it all day all night 'cause I want to

I wanna tell the whole wide world 'bout your love, your love, your love

I'm telling everyone I know this song is about you

And I'mma sing it all day all night 'cause I want to

I wanna tell the whole wide world 'bout your love, your love, your love

Still Care

Written By: Alex Isley

One time when I was young, met somebody that I called, "the one"

Just a picture and a name, seemed like it was all fair game

Turned bad, and what's worse, half went running and the other got hurt

Oh, what a vision, what a blur

Talk about a dream deferred

Energy invested, it ain't hard to know

But maybe it was hard to see with all the lights so low

Broken retrospective, a part of love still lives

In trying to forget when there's so much to forgive

(Chorus) After all this time, I believe that I still care, still care (2x)

We always said, someday, gonna laugh when we're old and gray

Gonna tell 'em how we met, how we got through it all instead

Too scared to go on, just finding everything that wasn't wrong

What a story, what a song, I waited too long

For all the pretty roses planted in the ground...fade away without a touch, and they don't make one sound

This is what I'm given, taken by my past

Trying to put myself first when I'm stuck on my last

(Chorus)

I guess I'm too nice and I look for the good that ain't there

Mad at myself, there ain't no reason I should still care

There ain't no reason, no...

(Chorus)

Into Orbit

Written By: Alex Isley

Grab hold of my hand

I feel you understand me

Decide what you want

And then, I will make it real indeed

Don't say, 'time to go', no

I know you've got some to spare

We've been fighting feelings

When it's obvious that we both care, so

(Chorus) Take me to the moon, I wanna be with the stars, send me, send me, into orbit...oh, send me, send me, into orbit

Your eyes tell the truth baby

I could just get lost in them

Sorry if I stare

As we stand face to face again

Yes, I'm pretty shy

But you make me so outspoken

I'm filled without words

Waiting not to talk with you

(Chorus)

Oh...

Take me to the moon, I wanna be, wanna be...

Oh...

Set In Stone

Written By: Alex Isley

I was hoping I'd get you off my mind

But you still haven't left after all this time

You're engraved inside my memory

How come things aren't the way they're supposed to be, baby?, 'Cause

(Chorus) I love you, you love her, thought we were set in stone, love erased like pencil on page, when we were set in stone

I was hoping we'd last just like we said

Didn't know temporary promises were made

They say, 'young love can only last so long', yeah

Thought we would prove everybody wrong

(Chorus)

Oh boy, I thought our love could withstand the odds, seeing now, I've lost my heart to you

Oh boy, I never thought that I'd see the day, when something that seemed so concrete could soon be thrown away

Whoa...

(Chorus)

Inevitable

Written By: Alex Isley

You couldn't get away if you tried you tried
I know what's yours and you know what's mine
No choice so our hearts became magnetized
You couldn't get away if you tried
It's inevitable, inevitable
Inevitable, inevitable
It's inevitable, inevitable
Inevitable, inevitable
We love without a doubt
'cuz there's just no way out
It's inevitable, inevitable
Inevitable, inevitable
We're meant to have what we got right here
Ain't gotta force the joy or the tears
Withe every day, it becomes so clear
We're meant to have this right here
It's inevitable, inevitable
Inevitable, inevitable
It's inevitable, inevitable
Inevitable, inevitable
We love without a doubt
'cuz there's just no way out
It's inevitable, inevitable
Inevitable, inevitable
You say it's like a dream to see
I know, i know
it was supposed to be us
unstoppable love with you
might not be so bad after all
It's inevitable, inevitable
Inevitable, inevitable
It's inevitable, inevitable
Inevitable, inevitable
We love without a doubt
'cuz there's just no way out
It's inevitable, inevitable
Inevitable, inevitable
