Bio

Emerging at a time when the music scene had become increasingly stale, Love Automatic is now bringing a fresh sound to the air waves and breathing new life into traditional rock and roll music. Based in Middlesex, NJ the House Rock band has put a new spin on today’s music ,melding sounds of rock and pop to house and trance to create a hybrid genre that has become all their own. The band’s upbeat tunes and sophisticated lyrics offer all different types of listeners a new, innovative sound that they can move to.

The brain-child of Brent Carpentier (vocals) Mike Glita (bass) and Nick Gonclaves (guitar), the band formed in early 2008 shortly after Glita left the widely popular emo group Senses Fail.

“After Senses Fail, I was just ready for a change. I had a great run with them and got to do some amazing things, but it was really time for me to stretch my legs and do something a little different. My friend Nick [Gonclaves] and I had been working on a duo project called Knights in Paris and it led us to the path of Love Automatic after I left Senses Fail. We created this really distinct sound and I just thought, ‘hey let me give this another go’.”

PJ DeCicco, formerly of Armor for Sleep, joined the group shortly after formation to complete the five piece lineup. With a solid group of core members, the band’s goal is to create a distinctive sound that melds popular genres of music, allowing them to explore different creative angles and produce a music that is both high energy and heartfelt.

“We all have great chemistry and you just know that this is all where we want to be,” says Carpentier. “We are doing this for fun sure, but we’re also doing this because this is what we live. We eat, sleep and breathe music and I think it really comes across in our recordings and our live performances. I’ve played with a lot of people, but I can honestly say that I have never felt more alive on stage, more true to my words than with this group of guys.”

Since forming in 2008 Love Automatic have amassed a loyal fan base and have generated tons of buzz through the internet and live shows. Their free five song EP Dance Floor Disaster has exceeded 50,000 downloads and they continue to write, record and release new songs on an ongoing basis.
