"Rolling Stone "Band To Watch""

Called "Pittsburgh's Hottest Band", the four-piece Lovebettie have brought their self-proclaimed brand of "Swagger Rock" to the attention of Jon Bon Jovi – who handpicked the band to audition – and as an afterparty act on Lady Gaga's Monsters Ball tour. Led by powerhouse singer and pianist Alexandra Naples, the group has been compared favorably with Fiona Apple. - Rolling Stone

"Lovebettie headlines at Sturgis Motorcycle Rally with Queensryche and The Cult"

High-energy anthems and howling ballads promise to kick off your Sturgis Rally in a big way when Lovebettie takes to the legendary Wolfman Jack Main Stage on Saturday, Aug. 2. This band’s super-hot and amazingly talented vocalist, Alexandra Napels, will have you spellbound and she belts out one irresistible tune after another during the Chip’s August music festival. Fresh off its immensely popular “Awake and Dreaming” tour, Lovebettie comes to the 2014 Sturgis Rally to introduce you to its unique brand of “swagger rock” prior to performances from The Cult and Queensrÿche.

Lovebettie is well on its way to becoming a national sensation, having been dubbed Rolling Stone’s “Band to Watch.” With three killer albums under its belt, the band’s recent focus on touring aims to identify themselves to a nation obsessed with discovering and fostering new talent. This versatile group has proved they can rock out in front of any crowd, having opened for such diverse groups as 311, Rick Springfield, Fuel, Hinder and even Imagine Dragons. Soon, the band will have The Cult and Queensrÿche to add to its list! - Sturgis Buffalo Chip

"Lovebettie parents a musical monster with new album, Rise"

Rise, bridges Lovebettie's taste gap. The band's four members speak about Rise with the pride of new parents — and one of their points of pride is that the album is something of a Frankenbaby. "We've created a monster out of four totally different influences: soul, grunge rock, funk-jazz, and progressive rock," says drummer Larry Shotter. "The first album had all of those influences, but we couldn't figure out how to make them work together. This album has it."

The members also credit their improbable chemistry to a shared belief that none of their individual styles should dominate, and that genre classifications are silly anyway. And they've honed their sense of how to stitch their disparate influences together. "Everybody writes for the benefit of the song," says guitarist C.T. Fields. - Pgh City Paper

"Brash Lovebettie exudes confidence and charisma"

With her shock of fuchsia hair and a voice that sounded like Cher's (except with more consistent pitch), Alexandra Naples, who also plays keyboards and writes the songs along with guitarist C.T. Fields, was the star of the evening.

That's not to say that Fields, drummer Larry Shotter and bassist Brandon Vatter were less than excellent musicians. But Naples, with her deep, strong vocal delivery, her energy and confidence, and her charisma, dominated the stage.

They opened with a bluesy, thunderous "Red Roses," and from then on they kept the momentum going. The four members of the band had a synergy that made them fun to watch. Naples was in constant motion, dancing, playing the keyboard, interacting with the others.

It's easy to see why Rolling Stone has called Lovebettie a "band to watch," and why they are getting booked all over the country. - Reading Life

The star who would play me in the movie version of my life and why:

Probably Rachel McAdams. She doesn't look like me, but she's such a fantastic actress. She's quirky, sentimental and real all at the same time.

"Lovebettie to Release New EP, The Red Door, March 1st! | LOVEBETTIE TO PLAY THE 2011 SXSW MUSIC FESTIVAL!"

Pittsburgh's own Lovebettie will be releasing their new EP, The Red Door on March 1st, 2011, engineered and produced by legendary producer Jim Wirt (Incubus, Fiona Apple, Hoobastank, Trapt). One of the fastest growing regional success stories on the east coast, Lovebettie has captivated audiences across the country with their sultry, blues-drenched rock fusion. To purchase the hit single off The Red Door, "Not Quite Right", please visit iTunes, here: http://bit.ly/ezl1Th.

Making their first steps onto the scene in early 2005, Lovebettie began as a songwriting duo of founding members Alexandra Naples (lead vocals/piano) and C.T. Fields (guitar/vocals). Influenced by everything from the grandeur of modern rock, to the swagger of 1920's Jazz, they created a powerful and compelling sound of pop and rock charged with feverish rhythms, emotive lyrics, and a sultry blues-drenched fusion. Solidifying this sound are the added talents of Dan Mulkeen (bass) and Larry Shotter (drums and percussion). Since this time, Lovebettie's persistent drive and tireless work ethic has helped them evolve from a local favorite to a regional success.

Sharing the stage with the likes of Lifehouse, Semi Precious Weapons, Tim Reynolds (Dave Matthews Band), Guster, Bowling for Soup, Rusted Root, and many more, Lovebettie has relentlessly toured from New York to Chicago, and back again. In 2010 they were invited to perform The Lady Gaga Afterparty for her Monsters Ball Tour. The same year, they also released two music videos for airing consideration on MTV, VH1, and Fuse. In the previous years, they won The Hardrock Cafe and 105.9 The X's Winter Rock Showcase, as well as accolades in several other contests including Van's Warped Tour Top 10 Bands of 2008. Just recently they made it to the top three finalists picked to tour the road with Bon Jovi.

In 2011, Lovebettie will be taking part in a full US tour heading down to SXSW Music Festival. Named "one of the most unique, best indie bands in the United States right now" by Indie on Air, Lovebettie is a band you don't want to miss out on!

"Bettie Won't Crumble Anytime Soon"

Powerhouse, neo-soul, indescribable: a phenomenal band such as Lovebettie doesn't need to be pigeon-holed into just one genre. Compressing a sound fused with Natalie Merchant's bellowed glory, crunchy guitar riffs, and piano instrumentals, undoubtedly is reason enough to call this group Pittsburgh's hottest band in the music scene.

On the Pittsburgh scene since early 2005, Lovebettie began with its two founding members Alexandra Naples [vocals, piano] and C.T. Fields [guitar, vocals]; soon after unifying their sound by recruiting J. Banks [drums] and Dan Mulkeen [bass]. Lovebettie's melodious tunes offer a new brand of marketable creation that have allowed them to evolve from rising locals to prominent regionals. A showcase of their successes include opening for Lifehouse, Rusted Root and Ingram Hill; winning second in a Hard Rock Cafe contest; listing as Van's Warped Tour Top 10 Bands of 2008, and landing a feature in Spin Magazine's Hot Pursuit.

Blending layers of multitude music spectrums comprised of country, blues and alternative-rock, promises to appease all who are seeking a refreshingly new and distinguished originals a concept very little established national bands have to offer at this time. Their hits "Crumble" and "Dirty Mary" arrange poetic lyrics of self-distruction with the hint of a scorned lover, around polished, furor-driven guitar ballads. While other hits like the happy-go-lucky "Stranger" leading one into a euphoria of feeling high on life, only to be slammed down to a low with the beautiful depression-induced "The World is Falling".

Lovebettie is hoping to gather some major label attention while touring the region with the support of the Hot Topic Tour and their self-supported shows. This is one band you don't want to miss this year!
