Having arrived on the Melbourne music scene making quite an impact, they have already gained numerous major international supports with Micachu & the Shapes, The XX, Toro Y Moi, Yellow Fever & Belle & Sebastian to name but a few; winning Inpress' Australian artist gig of the year 2010, a jam packed July residency re-opening Melbourne’s iconic Tote Hotel and The Age EG awards Coopers best new talent of 2010. With rave reviews, commercial and community radio airplay, multiple feature albums and a four star review in Rolling Stone Magazine, it is safe to say that Love Connection have achieved great heights within the time they have had to do so. They have achieved a substantial level of industry hype, peer and audience attraction within the Australian music scene over the past 12 months, most of which was given unaided in the response towards their debut record and live shows. Described as “being heard through an old pair of headphones that feed rainbow-sounding grit into your ears” and as “epic pop tunes that feel like a waterfall made of warm, multi-coloured soup rushing over your entire body.” Love Connection play a collection of low-fi songs driven by surf guitars and ethereal vintage keyboards.
