Love etc.

Love etc. was formed by Tsubasa and Yasuyo in 2005. Tsubasa began studying classical piano at age 4 in Japan. She wrote her first composition at age 5. In 1998 she won a scholarship to the Berklee school of music in Boston, where she graduated with honors receiving a diploma in performance. In 2002 she moved to NYC.
Yasuyo began singing in a local choir at 6 years of age. She had her first solo performance at age 9, when she sang an original composition in a children’s school play at an elementary school festival. She continued singing throughout her teenage years in the choir and also joined a local pop band. In 2001, she moved to NYC from Japan to study and pursue her singing career. She recently graduated from CUNY, where she majored in Performing Arts and Sound Engineering. Yasuyo and Tsubasa met in 2004 and began to collaborate on their unique style of original music.
Jeff Bennison has played in many bands throughout Pennsylvania and New York City during his career. In the 1990's, he was the principle drummer with former Reprise recording artists, The Goops. He has toured in every state except 3, and has been lucky enough to play in over 17 countries with many talented musicians.
Bassist Danny Zanker spent his youth in England, Israel, and Texas. The resulting cultural confusion, coupled with a formal education in Jazz, laid the foundation for his innovative musicianship. Moving to New York City in 1995 helped him consolidate all of his influences into a rare and exciting playing style. When he’s not out recording or performing gigs with Love etc., he can be heard leading his own trio, “Anti-Elevator Mission?E at various venues around NYC.
Love etc. combines a classical mentality with the warmth of Japanese pop, Ambient, a soulful Jazz feeling, and marvelous hooks. Now they write songs and perform in a variety of places, mainly in NYC.
