Love For Zero

Consisting of Chris Niebel, Angelos Gavrillidis, Andy Dainton, Conrad Littler and Liviu Gheorge, Love For Zero are not your standard throw-away-band. This adeptly thought-out 5 piece have the unique ability to enthrall the spectator with an emotionally charged performance, swamped with elevational lyrics, electrified rythematic synths and melodic cutting guitars.

In 2006 Chris was brought into the trio, of Andy and two previous members; Ryan Cowburn (current drummer for Mount Fabric) and Martin Pagan. Chris and his exclusively distinct voice brought a new dimension of falsetto and melody to the group.

In 2009 Ryan left the band to bring in Scottish drummer and Pure FM D.j Dave Ferrier. Originally named Dirty Avenues and with the help of late music producer Chris Dart the band struck the Manchester music scene, performing at Night and Day, Moho Live, Jabez Clegg and The Academy.

In early 2010, bassist Martin left to pave way for Greek bass god Angelos and Latvian synth player Eugene Schvidko. Bringing keys to the sound brought the pop/rock substantial to a new caliber of alternative indie rock, with electric keys and modular synthesization.

In late 2010 the group and their substantial following headed down to The Troubadour bar in Chelsea where they rocked the world of a sell-out audience and gained acknowledgment and praise from the local magazines and vast community.

In 2011 Dave and Eugene vamoosed to open the doors for fresh faced Liverpudlian Conrad Littler (drums) and Romanian synthist Liviu Gheorghe. Original member and lead guitarist Andy says “the band has never had the energy and ability that it has right now, it’s a really exciting time for us the sky’s the limit”.

In the summer of 2011 the band played at the Great Bridgewater Hall (Manchester) to a crowd of 2500 people. They blew the audience away and left to standing ovation.

In October 2011 the band began recording their first studio album "Allies and Enemies" which is due to be launched in early 2012 along with the newly revised band name Love for Zero

The instrumentals from the artists draw from a divergence of life, with the refined lyrics of personal experiences. Their love for raw, unpasteurized music is an evidently clear fact; portrayed through the passionate performances and repeat-button- bound track lists.
