Local promoter and comedian Sindi Somers brought her Wild and Tame Comedy Night to Dream Street in Ocean Beach to celebrate Halloween with jokes, costumes, and music. The evening kicked off with music by LoveMason and ended with a Halloween costume contest with prizes donated by several local OB merchants.
LoveMason is a dynamic female duo made up of singer/songwriter/musician Heidi Mason and singer Samantha Love. The pair first hooked up musically in 2005, but Ms. Mason had heard Ms. Love perform several months earlier at a film festival after party singing "Me and Bobby [McGee]." Even then Mason was impressed with Love's sultry and powerful vocals. The two performed regularly for several months before competing commitments pulled them apart, but the[y] rejoined in 2009 when Love returned from time in Japan and agreed to record "Love Always," a song Mason had written that boasts a powerful Joplin-style vocality. The two have recently recorded a new CD which should be available by mid November. Expect this team to have some real success. - DEMOTIX

Love Mason is female-fronted Alternative Indie Rock trio based in San Diego and led by Heidi Mason (vocals/guitar). The current lineup formed in early 2012 and the three quickly developed a tight musical bond. They have released an EP (I’m Over It), single ("The Perihelion"), and played shows throughout the San Diego and Los Angeles areas. The group has a variety of musical influences and incorporates elements of classic rock, surf rock, oldies, and jazz into their sound.
