Explosive rhythm, lean guitar lines and spellbound electronics wrapped in pop sensibility and a do-it-yourself work ethic…Love Or The Bomb is a band with a simple mission statement: move the audience.
In the summer of 2012, Eddy Franco - then working as part of "The Hawks", a Montreal rock band - personally recorded and mixed his first EP, "Eclipsed", while simultaneously playing local shows and sharing the stage with such acts as Cheap Girls, The Front Bottoms, and Young Man. Influenced by the sounds of Joy Division and The Smiths, "Eclipsed" showcased Franco's no-nonsense approach to pop and his affinity for the dance.
After the dissolution of "The Hawks", Franco decided to put to use his constant musical projects and collaborations. Thus, in the winter of 2013, Love Or The Bomb was born.
Wasting no time, Franco began writing and recording what would become Love Or The Bomb's first official release: "When Summer Comes". Released in March 2013, the "When Summer Comes" EP demonstrates the singer/songwriter's forward momentum and willingness to experiment with texture while maintaining a pop ethos.
