Love Piece

Love Piece started as a side project between Thelonius (lead singer) who at the time was the front man for a funk/hip-hop 9 piece band called Semi-Soul, and Eric Protic (guitatist), and Andrew Warren (bass player) who at the time were in a experimental Pop-Rock R&B band named Perfect Mistake. Thelonious later broke off from Semi-Soul to get his personal affairs in order and find himself musically, and grow. Aroud the same time Perfect Mistake also took a break. After learning about each others situation Thelonious and Eric got together and started working on music exploring different styles, and sounds. One year later Theo and Eric had writen almost a whole album worth of music, thus forming Love Piece. Looking for a drummer they were pointed into the direction of Mark Bell an accomplished gospel drummer who has played around the United States. After meeting each other there was an instant connection which led to a band and later a family. Andrew during this time was playing jazz guitar, his first love in a jazz band, but later joined back and not looking back. Combining their music influences like Miles Davis, Incubus, Bloc Party, The Roots, Mos Def, and so forth. Love Piece main goal is to just make music.
