Bio

Pete Klassen is the artist known as Love the Empire. It was in 2005 while laying in a hospital bed that Love the Empire was born. Pete ended up in a hospital bed after a car crashing into him on the side of a highway, crushing his limbs and dying in the snow for 45 minutes waiting for an ambulance. After that experience happened he really wanted to make some key changes in life...and if he was able to play music again he wanted it to be something positive, not only the music, but the name itself.

The name didn't mean anything at first, but it's starting to have more and more significance. "Love the Empire to me is about not only music because that is the foundation but it's about seeing a need and meeting it, loving people, and loving life. It's about trying to make a positive impact in what ever possible way I can." - Pete Klassen

Summer 2007 Love the Empire came out with the debut album To Self-Destruct. "My Long Awaited Life" got played on a radio station CHYR in the Windsor, ON area. Won a battle of the bands with song "The Absent Light". Now Love the Empire is currently recording a new album called ACTIONS with a tour to follow.
