Lowcash is the real deal when it comes to being a FULL Big Band Orchestral Neo Funk and Soul Ensemble. Represented by a 10 piece small musical army, Lowcash is based in Flagstaff, Arizona. Rooted in R&B and Groove driven, elements of Hip Hop , Funk and Disco lay embedded within their deep repertoire of original Music. Lowcash is catalyzed by a trio of vocal prowess, a booming brass section and a backline tighter than the wallets of today’s college crowd. Aviana Acid(vocals), Lucas Stephen(Guitar), Sam Neeley(percusion,vocals), Nate Pratt(Bass), Nate Walsh Haines(Drums), Andrae Blisset(Keys), Ryan Godwin(trumpet), Reid Watkins(Tenor Sax), Wilson Thomas(Alto, Bari and Tenor Sax) Ted Kelly(Trombone, Horn Section choreography) . LowCash has made quite the impression on Northern Arizona in the last year drawing hundreds to an ever growing crowd at nearly any and every stage they grace. Rocking out in Historic Establishments such as Charly’s @ the Weatherford Hotel and Monte Vista Cocktail Lounge. Not to mention Northern Az’s Primere Live Music Venues Mia’s Lounge, The Green Room and The Orpheum Theatre.
Founded just over a year ago, LowCash has already developed a substantial local fan base, and is on their way to branching out of the Southwest. Early 2010, Lowcash independently released their first Full-Length Album entitled “dis FUNKtional family”, putting them officially on the map of rising local bands. Receiving 4/5 Stars, Flag Live says “‘Dis Funktional Family is a great start for Lowcash, really lifting the mood away from whining or negativity.” With that behemoth task accomplished, the aim now is to pursue touring . This “Unstoppable Funk Juggernaut”, is headed by front woman Avianna Acid who has a knack for thoughtful introspective lyrics, expressed by a dynamic range that peaks with a seducing vibrato. Her cohort Sam Neeley provides additional lyrical mastery, as well as over a decade experience with world percussion.
LowCash brings the party with them as they have developed not only tasty treats for your ears but a bit of eye candy. Using a projector and laptop in conjunction with their own lighting rig they have created quite the visual element to compliment their original and tasteful sounds.
