Bio

It all started off in the year 2000 in Ocean City, Maryland when Lower Class Citizens were formed. The jamming began in James's garage. The trio started off by playing simple punk covers like "I wanna be sedated" by the Ramones, and "My Generation" by the Who. Then started to experiment with original sounds. "Spliff Glow" was the first written song by Lower Class Citizens and is still a favorite.
The decision of obtaining another guitar player came about after a few months. Lower Class Citizens were looking for an explosive sound, a guitar player that could defy the rules of playing the instrument, and finally stumbled upon Bill Todd. Bill joined Lower Class Citizens with a good background of music, playing with former bands, First Things First, and writing songs for Orange Avenue. After a few practices, Bill fit the mold for a Lower Class Citizen. The addition of Bill Todd made Lower Class Citizens a dynamic foursome, with more ability to innovate their sound with an extra guitar player.
In the summer of 2003, Lower Class Citizens decided to go into the studio and record their first EP titled "Electric Euphoria" at Clay Creek Studios in Newark, Delaware. They've played a variety of local spots including Mellow Beach, Talbot St. Cafe, White Horse Park, French Quarter Cafe, Fishnet Music as well as Maryland Institute College of Art, and Clairon University. In addition, Lower Class Citizens have also recieved substantial radio play from local radio stations (WZBH, WRXS, WOCM), and radio play on XM satellite radio (Channel 52). Keep your eyes and ears open because Lower Class Citizens will be invading a town near you.
