Lowerline: New Orleans hard rock that will not be denied. Lowerline is the main focus of four individuals who will not compromise on their music. Exploding out of diversity, Lowerline expels a melodic form of hard rock that entices everyone. New Orleans has been known throughout the world for its music. Now is the time when people will know New Orleans because of Lowerline.

Lowerline began back in 2001. The band formed from the remains of another local band called Peel. Matt Mysing, Jimmy Adams, Devin Torres, and Cujo stepped up to the plate and just decided to start their own band. The search for the right name is a tedious process. Being from New Orleans is a privilege in itself. The name had to represent a homegrown feel, but also agree with the “no compromise” attitude that the band adopted. Lowerline said it all. When you can’t take any more – that’s the bottom line. Lowerline is also one of the most famous streets in New Orleans with plenty of history behind it. Lowerline was now on its way.

Lowerline has been able to attract a wide variety of listeners to its music. Through hard work and persistence Lowerline found its music on the playlists of many popular radio stations throughout the south. This created a demand for Lowerline, which prompted the band to tour. Lowerline first started out building its local fan base in the New Orleans area. The demand kept the band working regularly which is very surprising for an all-original rock band. Soon the band found itself being requested in clubs and venues throughout many different states. Lowerline has played in Louisiana, Mississippi, Texas, Arkansas, Tennessee, and New York. With over 150 shows under their belt there doesn’t seem to be any sign of stopping. This tour schedule has brought the band the nickname “The Hardest Working Band in New Orleans.”

Lowerline has had many acclaimed accomplishments. These would include 2 television performances, 2 radio shows that were entirely about Lowerline, and being included on a compilation that was distributed internationally by Robot Racket Records. Such events as these more than prove that Lowerline is a well oiled machine. Over the course of existence, Lowerline has managed to independently distribute over 4,500 CD’s ranging from early demos to the bands first full album “Branded” released in Jan. 03. Without a doubt, Lowerline has proven its staying power and will continue to be on the forefront of New Orleans Music. Experience Lowerline and you won’t be sorry.
