Lowerline are a killer hard rock band from Metarie, La. They sent us an incredible ten song cd entitled Branded. I would say these guys sound like a cross between Three Doors Down and Metallica. It rocks and it's heavy, but it's not too heavy for radio consumption. They go back and forth between soulful ballads and rocking jams. Very professional and extremely marketable. I am really surprised these guys aren't getting more radio play. Almost any song on this cd has the potential to be a chart topper. Lowerline is the result of the synergy between four diverse individuals unwilling to compromise on their music and is decidedly a hard rock band in the purest sense. The band erupts on stage presenting a melodic and electrifying show replete with high-energy rock and roll that consistently captivates audience members. Although New Orleans is often cited as an epicenter for music, now is the time when people will know New Orleans as the home of Lowerline.
Since Lowerlines conception, they have attracted a wide variety of listeners. Constant touring, hard work, and persistence paid off. Soon, Lowerline found themselves touring throughout the Gulf South Region. This is highly unusual for an all original band in this area. Many radio stations in the south also took notice of what is going on. Lowerline found themselves on many radio stations playlists. Lowerline has had many acclaimed accomplishments. These include 4 television performances, numerous radio shows that were entirely about Lowerline, and being included on a compilation that was distributed internationally by Robot Racket Records. Such events as these more than prove that Lowerline is a well oiled machine.
Over the course of existence, Lowerline has managed to independently distribute over 4,500 CD's ranging from early demos to the band's first full album "Branded" released in Jan. 03. Without a doubt, Lowerline has proven their staying power and will continue to be on the forefront of New Orleans Music. Without a doubt, Lowerline is destined for success.
