Low Five

The members of Low Five come from various musical backgrounds. The ground work for Low Five began when Keyboardist Andrew Markaham and Bassist Will Mack met at a weekly jazz jam session in the Highland Park section of Los Angeles. Both are heavily influenced by the groove driven funk/fusion music of the 70's. Will and Andrew began getting together along with John and other musicians in Will's garage to jam and just put ideas together. Immediately, John, Andrew and Will all clicked as a tight rhthym section. Realizing something good could come from this, they decided to invite other musicians with talented and eclectic ideas together to their jam sessions. This brought Marc Blackburn and Suman Chatterjee into the picture, both of whom compliment each others guitar styles as if they had been playing together for years! Thus the core of the band was formed. Occasionally Low Five features Ravi Carmen on Baritone Sax and Flute along with other talented musicians.
