For Angelo Mario Ray, Jr., becoming a recording artist was a natural progression. At the tender age of six, Angelo demonstrated that he had enormous musical talent. He would perform in his home for friends and family, vividly mimicking Michael Jackson's vocals and movements. Angelos parents recognized early that their son had an amazing gift in singing and performing. They encouraged him to continue to improve his singing so his vocals would become strong and powerful. As a result of continued encouragement and discipline from both parents, Angelo evolved into a very experienced vocalist and songwriter by the age of 16. As Angelo continued to develop his singing, songwriting and dancing skills, he realized R&B was the type of music he wanted to do. He knew that if he became a R&B or Hip-Hop artist that he might gain a lot more exposure if he performed a great deal more. He and those who supported him knew that he had the ability to have a more positive impact just doing what came naturally. A member of Overflow Ministries Covenant Church where he ministers with the youth choir , Angelo loves listening and performing to many different types of music, but Angelo is ready to spread his wings and share his talent with the world. However, Angelo is in no hurry to become and overnight star. He insists that pursuing a recording career was not about stardom.
