"Lowly Spects - The Hardest Man to Love EP Review"

"Lowly Spects displayed true musicianship, creativity and talent live and on their EP. There's no doubt in my mind that they can rise above the underground scene..."

"Lowly Spects Offers Bright Lights Tonight at the Constellation Room"

"With a voice that levels, Ethan Hulse sings messages that shut your eyes, open your mind, and question your soul. The six songs that make up this record are lyrically driven with the support of enchanting melodies and a catchiness that crawls underneath your skin, raising the bumps on your arms and hairs on your neck." - Music In Press

"OC Music Awards 2013: Lowly Spects Are Not “The Hardest” Band “To Love”"

"The album is full of poignant gems that got stuck in our heads within the first listen. We wouldn’t have it any other way. The poignant lyrics and dynamic arrangements of banjo, guitar, percussion, and harmonies make for an impressive first release." - KROQ Los Angeles

Bio

Lowly Spects has quickly become one of the most loved alternative folk groups in the Orange County and LA areas. Residing in Costa Mesa, CA, the three piece group has a sound that is remarkably refreshing and approachable among a largely over saturated indie band culture. Fronted by principal songwriter Ethan Hulse, the band has been a continuation of his solo project and EP "I Don't Feel Simple," released in 2011. Since then, Lowly Spects has released an EP called, "The Hardest Man To Love." The EP was released with a successful west coast tour in December of 2012 and was received with high praise. They are often compared to the likes of Ryan Adams, Wilco and Travis. The band has become known for memorable shows in well known venues such as House of Blues, Constellation Room, The Casbah, and Hotel Cafe. Being nominated for several Orange County Music Awards in 2012, as well as receiving many great write-ups from KROQ radio station and OC Weekly for shows, interviews, and album reviews, it's safe to say that Lowly Spects are on the precipice of making some waves in America's largest music market. Lowly Spects is: Ethan Hulse, Tyler Johnson, and Trevor Kelso.
