Bio

Starting in our drummers bed room we wrote our first song (Eyes Wide) at our first practice and everything clicked together. We practiced there for a while until the Home Owners Association kicked us out and now we moved locations. Our band is an eclectic group of influences. Brady, the guitarist, brings out the styles of Jimmy Page and Tom Morello over the funkiness the funkmeister TJ brings behind him; channeling the likes of Flea. Our Drummer, Jay, is the drummer in a Blink-182 cover band so playing hard and fast is no problem. Bringing the beat drops of hip hop songs and the flavor of Carter Beauford he is the back bone of the band which, all under the harsh and orginal vocals and raps of Drew Miranda, rock out Houston venues like none other. The Chili Peppers are the influential link that brought LPD together in the first place so the music mainly falls under the hard-rock/funk influence but their are many influences and styles in their; from rap-rock, heavy metal, reggae and songs that sound like they could follow the likes of the slow numbers on Stadium Arcadium. LPD has been playing around houston for about 3 years now, playing gigs here and there at venues like The Meredian, The Jert Lounge, Warehouse, Fitzgeralds, Deans credit clothing, The Big Top and even playing gigs at places like Zapatoes or Shotzis in College Station. LPD would love to get thier name more recognized in the Houston music scene which has a steady incline of original bands that LPD should be and would love to be a part of.
