Flint, Michigan native, Kansas City rhymer and HHMP member, LS (a.k.a. LNS) released his Merril Pad mixtape back in February. Yikes. A lot of time has passed since then. But after seeing him perform at “Midwest Got Next” last week, LS had our attention for his entire set, spewing energy out of his pores until it was obvious that he had no intention of taking prisoners at that show. Instead? He probably made some fans after last call at recordBar in Westport that night.
His Merril Pad mixtape from several months back exudes the same passion and blatant drive so evident in his live show. He’s got a great rap voice, without a doubt, and armed with some tremendous beats from longtime producer Jay C we’ll be sure to bring more information on LS and the HHMP crew soon enough. - Demencha Magazine

Hip Hop Mastered Productions out of Kansas City recently dropped The Evolution Of Hip Hop mixtape on iTunes. The lead hulkshare download from that tape is “I’m Not Coming Down”, by LS (pictured) and BBP, both Kansas City-based rap artists, and both are capable behind mixing boards as well. You may remember a bandcamp release that LS released several months ago through HHMP, and the lead single we featured, “Forgive Me If I Ball”. BBP holds down the first verse on “I’m Not Coming Down” and the beat. LS is as proficient in spoken word as he is more straight-forward rap. This new track illustrates LS and BBP’s sky-high mindsets (“Fuck a depression”). For the sake of reference, it sounds like these two obsessively listened to Kanye West’s classic LP, College Dropout, before they jetted into the recording booth. - Demencha

Bio
A MC from Flint, MI but to L’s home sweet home is called Fly City. L’s is as true to the letters MC as a king to his thrown. Born on July 7, 1985 Julius Allen Hitchye began his journey to the eye of the world, by way of the stage. Form the age of 11 to the present, L’s has held rolls in over 10 scripted plays, and has hosted over 20 community based art events.
Carrying his talents to Kansas City LS birthed Hip Hop Mastered Productions (HHMP), in 2007, with the release of his first solo project The Mix Tape. Embracing his love for the stage he joined forces with a group of musicians called Groove 101, bringing together this combination of live music and strong soulful hip hop lyrics unheard from artist of his time.
In 2010, LS decided to focus on the development of his brand a more importantly his sound. Attending and graduating from The Conservatory of Recording Arts and Sciences strengthened LS awareness and knowledge of the music industry. Coming back to Kansas City as a well-rounded artist ready to take HHMP to the next level.
Now in 2014, LS released his 5th independent project MerrilPad as dedication to his hometown Flint Michigan and his journey to the artist he is today. The EP includes features dynamic lyrics and great track selection to making this a BREAKOUT project. LS have helped HHMP become an imprint in the Kansas City hip-hop scene. Creating a sound that has gravitated some of the cities most talented artist to come be apart of his movement.
Hip Hop Mastered Productions is the evolved sound hip-hop that is true the arts natural foundation. Rather its on his own project or another artist LS projects that vision with every stride. 2015, the Evolution of Hip Hop is here.
