Bio
Lubulwa is a wall of cinematic sound by Melbourne four piece. With dreamy synths, spacey
guitars and devastating vocals, the music sets you on a journey from start to finish with
swirls of emotions. Song writer Peter Lubulwa’s soaring voice sings of break-ups yet to
happen, with lyrically focused melodies complimented by Anoushka Wootton’s mesmerising
lead guitar screams. Bassist Joshua Dawes brings a brewing precision, locking in with
drummer Miranda Holt to create grounding to the haunting and beautiful songs.
Lubulwa are new to the scene and have already created impressive waves, playing alongside
local talents including CAMP COPE and Fierce Mild. The band has started recording their
debut album (at The Aviary, with Nick Edin) which is due for release in early 2018.
Debut single “The Look” will be launched at the Old Bar, Fitzroy with local beauty Hayley
Couper, and Dark Water in September 2017.
