Austin, TX -- October 6, 2009 -- Local musician, Lucas Cook, received an email recently letting him know his song "Austin State of Mind" had been selected by Tito's Vodka for feature on their website.
Lucas, having spent the past four years navigating the music scene in Austin, knows all too well what it means to be in an Austin state of mind. The song depicts the unique vibe this city exudes, making mention of several local favorites, including the formerly coined Town Lake Trail and, of course, Tito's Vodka.
When Tito's announced that they'd be accepting submissions of original songs that mention the brand, Lucas heard his calling. His submission was chosen and is now available for preview on Tito's Vodka website.
Fans can hear a live version of "Austin State of Mind" every Tuesday night in October at Six Lounge in Austin. The single is scheduled for release in November 2009.

Lucas Cook has been performing in Austin since Fall, 2005. His music spans genres, creating a fusion of rock, pop, soul, and Americana and appeals to a wide fan base. His first album "Ridiculous" was released in summer 2006. His self-titled, follow-up album is slated for release in late 2009.
