MUSIC THAT WILL MAKE YOU SMILE

The other night I when out [ I Know RIGHT..I left my office] to this quaint indie bar on the upper east side of New York City name “Bar-East”. I was there to see an old friend perform some tracks from his upcoming CD, while his performance was quite entertaining I was captivated by other artist that night. Lucy Morgenstern better known as  the “Lucid Lion” took to the stage armed with a guitar in hand that boosted a Rastafarian flag guitar strap, her hair in dreads, a tie dye t-shirt and ripped jeans I knew that the audience and myself were about to be introduced to a “Higher” proformance. Lucy Strummed away at  her guitar before introducing herself to us. A simply
“Hey guys I’m Lucy… known as the last Lucid Lion…It’s so good to be back home in my hometown… NEW YORK!… I Love guys!”
confirmed just how “Heightened” her performance was going to be.  Lucy performed a good number of her original songs with stories of her travels in between. Her music was pure and clearly from a “Higher” part of herself. Lucy’s stories were based on her recent road trip from San Fransico to New York City, which she did in a van with two of her closest friends. Lucy was so moved by the trip and her van she felt it fitting to encapsulate the journey in a song entitled “Livin In The Van.” which was my FAVORITE song of the night. I have to be honest  Lucy “Lucid Lion” Morgenstern’s music interestingly and oddly made my soul smile. There is something  infectious about her music… Maybe because its just FUNNY, FUN & CAREFREE
