Only one Houston artist can be named as having crafted a true lyrical skill that rivals hip-hop’s best MCs, Mark Green p/k/a LUCO. LUCO has chosen to avoid the syrup, screw and candy paint lyrics that has garnered national acclaim for rap artist from the Houston area in recent years. Instead, he has opted to bring lyricism back to the game. Citing artists such as Jay-Z, Lil’ Wayne, and Kanye West as influences, LUCO is a Houston rapper striving for the resurrection of true lyrical craft.

LUCO past does not differ from many urban youth in America today. He was reared by his grandmother along with his brothers in a suburban Houston neighborhood where street life was more lucrative than anything else. However, tired of the street life at an early age so with the support of friends and family, he is motivated to enter the industry and bring something new to thirsty hip hop fans.
