Bio

"Lucy Elliott also has a solo career in the making, aged just 20. Her distinctive voice and agreeable-to-the-ear songs have a very natural and engaging feel to them. She sings songs that could (and probably will) see audiences transfixed, captured and disarmed. Her “not quite discernible” inflections and clarity help convey the simple truth that this young lady really can and does make the grade as a potent singer/songwriter- waiting, effortlessly, for her break. All it will take is the right ears and this charming ball of Norwich-based (now Brighton-based) undiscovered talent will be off and mixing it up with the best of them."

I moved from Norwich to Brighton for university, and for a chance to soak up the creatively-saturated atmosphere in one of the UK's most unique cities. I've been gigging in local pubs and venues and would love the opportunity to play to a wider audience, at Brighton's best festival. I listen and am influenced by a wide variety of acts; I admire the song-structuring of the likes of Bowie and Squeeze, the show(wo)manship of Debbie Harry, and the folk tendencies of contemporaries like Marling and Fionn Regan.
