"I Love Lucy!!!"

"This is a band that warrants calling your friends and telling them to check it out."

"cleverly worded lyrics over chunky riffs, tight guitar solos (brief enough to be a pleasant tease), and tidy bass lines, all perfectly complemented by the front woman's (presumably Lucy) sweetly coarse vocals." - Sibella Stern, Inpress Magazine.
- Inpress Magazine

"Lucy Nirvana!"

A respectable bit of banging rawk in which the Lucy of Lucy's Crown channels Kurt Cobain. The chorus is short and snappy and ... the verse .... verges on feminazi spoken word." - Single Review, Beat Magazine. - Beat Magazine

"Stadium rock!!"

"An amazing Kate Bush meets Alice Cooper type show". "Stadium rock." - Inpress Magazine. - Inpress Magazine

Bio

A band of four friends lead by Lucy Blue, heavily influenced by 90’s alt-rock, Lucy delivers her stark songs with bruisingly powerful, yet sweetly coarse vocals likened to Courtney Love. With a live show described as “a David Lynch film, Lucy had us eating out of the palm of her hand...this is a band that warrants calling your friends and telling them to check it out” – Beat Magazine

‘Fall With Me’ (2012 EP) is a six-track release featuring the single ‘Lace’ from this Australian band. A dazzling display of the luminous songwriting talents of Lucy Blue with the bands signature musical intensity.

Recorded in Melbourne with producer Lindsay Gravina (Violent Soho, Kate Miller-Heidke, Eskimo Joe, Magic Dirt, The Living End, The Birthday Party, Jet, Thirsty Merc etc), the grunge-heavy opener ‘Lace’ is the lead track off the EP. An alt-rock tune with a killer hook that takes your breath away! Sweaty alt-rock heavily influenced by the 90's...think Hole meets early Garbage.

Lyrically, ‘Lace’ is a story about love lost, love found, only to lose it again. The guitars driving this heavy cycle, finally break into a dirty riff chorus that summarises the heart of it all - “she’s all alone, she’s gonna take your breath away”.

‘Lace’ sets the scene for the beautiful and mesmerizing second track ‘Falling Free’. With elements of 60’surf, ‘Wake Me Up’ pulls and pushes you out of a sleep-deprived psychosis into the stunning forth track that is ‘Skinn’. ‘Rock and Roll – Garry Glitter’ inspired rhythms of ’That Way’ with an equally strong piano performance by Lucy leads you into the final lyrically reflective and musically brooding track ‘The Joker’.

With growing interest from fans locally and particularly internationally, Lucy’s Crown toured Japan in November 2012 playing eight sold out shows in Tokyo. Japanese fans ecstatically received the band’s captivating live performances and new release.

Having just signed a publishing deal with APM (Asia Pacific Music) for an exclusive Japan album release, the band head back to Japan in July on a ten-date album release tour of Tokyo and Osaka July 1 – 14 2013.
