""...we were won over quickly"..."

"The new self released CD, Blanket Ice, is outstanding... we were won over quickly. Sheila's warm vocals complete this sound and are easily the reason we are highly recomending the brand new release...If you would like to pick up a copy of the new 10 song album (and you do because my eyes are bright red and shooting lasers at you) stop by CD Baby. Can you tell we like this band a bunch?" —Milk Milk Lemonade http:milkmilk-lemonade.blogspot.com - milkmilklemonade.blogspot.com

""...reminder of how good music can be...”"

“Luff's first full-length effort, Blanket Ice, has been released under the radar; my first perceptions of the album? I wish more blogs, forums and internet types were talking about it, simply because it’s a release that does deserve to be talked about, a lot. Sculpting sounds that resemble Mogwai and Sonic Youth overdosing on diazepam but refusing to create an ambient record, Luff raise the tempo by adding a secret mix of musical-amphetamines...Luff are a welcome reminder of how good music can be...” —Holly Joy Emblem http://thesilentballet.com - Holly Joy Emblem, The Silent Ballet

""...uniquely captivating""

“The dreamy, epic sound of Luff may readily invite comparisons to noise rockers and shoe gazers like Mogwai, My Bloody Valentine and Sonic Youth, but this up and coming band remains uniquely captivating.” —Julie Bolcer, Logo’s New Now Next - Julie Bolcer, Logo’s New Now Next

""...moody, beautiful and angsty...""

"It was a fantastic day at Church of Girl when we received Luff's debut full-length release, Blanket Ice. The album is moody, beautiful and angsty... [Luff has] created an amazing album that feels like a deeply important conversation represented through layers of sound and perfectly executed moments of sparseness." -Mary Ann Naylor www.churchofgirl.com - Mary Ann Naylor, Church of Girl

LUFF is influenced by bands such as Mogwai, Yo La Tengo, and My Bloody Valentine. Originally founded by guitarist and vocalist Sheila Sobolewski as a guitar and cello duo, LUFF has grown into a four-piece rock outfit currently comprised of Sheila, Robin Pickering (Triple Creme) on guitar, Aleks Gylys (Serica Ux, Coulter) on drums, and Mike Hurst (Serica Ux, Coulter) on bass. LUFF’s music can be heard in several short films and documentaries, and Sheila and Robin scored the
