Feeling a bit camera shy

Ever since Lui wowed critics and fans alike with his portrait of Felix Nazco in “MIAMI NOIR: The Arthur E Teele Story”, he has been steadily building a career of impressive range and versatility. Lui started his interest in acting as a child participating in school plays and as a singer joining the school choir.

Lui Attanasi was born on November 14th in Fort Collins, Colorado and raised in Caracas, Venezuela. His Hispanic (Venezuelan and Italian) heritage brings out his Latin flavor, as well as his simplicity and his friendly smile. He started in 1990 performing theater in Caracas, Venezuela in high school and then in the Business School Theater Group at the University of Central Venezuela. His first break came in Latin soap operas in Miami in the year 2004. The roles that Lui performed had a wide range from the simple and funny handyman, Alfredo, at “Las Dos Caras de Ana” Univision soap-hit, to the demanding Immigration Police Officer at Univision’s “Bajo Las Riendas del Amor” or to the funny Gay Hairstylist at “La Viuda de Blanco”, just to mention a few.

Opportunities for TV/Film Commercials came along in Miami as well. Lui had the opportunity to be the lead actor for such brands as VH1-MTV, Walmart, Royal Caribbean, Winn Dixie Supermarkets and GENTV Channel 22 where he was the lead actor in the TV-Film campaign directed by Hollywood Director Simon Brand.

In 2006 and 2007, Miami’s theater arena could embrace Lui’s role at “Othello”, where he performed Ludovico in the Shakespearean classic at the Byron Carlyle Theater in Miami Beach. Lui’s role in “Treasure Island” as Dr. Leavesey was funny and with a great comedic timing. “Working with kids is the greatest gift I have had as an artist”.

Lui released his first music album “Like a Chin Chin Chin”, produced by Christian Shorter on November 19th, 2008, just 5 days after his birthday. Los Angeles night venues have seen Lui perform with passion and love for music at the iconic SIR Studios in Hollywood, De Cache Bar Restaurant, Here Lounge, Side Bar, Magical Blossoms and other night venues. “I truly enjoy sharing the love through music”.

Los Angeles embraced his music debut at Univision’s Latino Network TV Show “Tu Estilo” last May, 09, where Lui was invited to perform his music single “Like a Chin Chin Chin” and then invited to perform a second song, “Quiero Ser”, again
Lui’s second music album was Pre-released on Christmas Day 2010, starting with his new single, “love & me”.

Lui currently is performing every Monday at the Martini Jazz Show in the Side Bar in Glendale and is also scheduled for performance at the House of Blues this coming June 1st. For more information or for booking Lui please contact the following address:
