Biography

Luiz dos Odé
(Chant, Guitar, Harmonica)
Composer and musician with an expressive voice, Luiz dos Odé fuses Brazilian and world folk rythms with new sonorous concepts, giving rise to his own and innovator style that mantains alive the best of the music. His daring and his large range of styles, make him reach multiple kind of public.
Luiz dos Odé is accompanied by his band DúPatuá.
A project born in 2007 by the encounter of 4 musicians, all residents in Spain, lovers and investigators of Brazilian music.

Luiz was born in Sâo Paulo, he started his artistic career in 1990 as an harmonicist, in 1995 he already was an important teacher.
He gave clases at the best conservatories of the city as "Conservatorio Musical Sousa Lima” (associated to Berkley).
Author of the diatonic harmonica’s method (blues)
"Luiz Marcondes", published by Editorial VITALE; Sâo Paulo, 1998, that was the best-seller harmonica’s method in all Brazil.

He played with important brasilian musicians as: Elba Ramalho, Bocato, Simoninha, Jair Oliveira, Wilson Sideral, Lanny Gordin, Arismar do Espirito Santo, etc...
He formed various music bands and played in thousands of places, private events in all Brazil and in some european countries.

Sin 2004, Luiz lives in Europe, in Spain.
