Bio
Alternative singer-songwriter Luke Niccoli combines the acoustic and pop sensibilities of John Mayer with the edge and arena rock energy of Kings of Leon and U2. Luke is currently finishing production on his upcoming EP, due out February 2015.
Luke started his musical career by picking up a guitar at age 10. By age 12 he was recording original material and performing all of the instruments for each song. Luke began performing in the Pheonix Metro area, eventually establishing himself as an accomplished performer. In the summer of 2013 he opened for Martina McBride in front of a sold out crowd at the legendary Celebrity Theater in Phoenix, Arizona. He later opened for Chris Isaak at the same venue. During Luke’s senior year of high school, he recorded his debut LP, “Empires in the Sky”. The title song from the album went on to win first place in BMI’s 2013 John Lennon Scholarship contest and made Dale Kawashima’s SongwritersUniverse.com Top 5 songs for the month of April in 2012.
After finishing high school, Luke was accepted to the prestigious Berklee College of Music, awarded a Songwriting scholarship, and is now actively pursuing a Professional Music Degree. While attending Berklee, he has been featured on several recording projects and has been invited to perform in songwriting and A&R showcases in Boston, MA.
