"Sean Kelly of The Samples"

"Don't let the slime out there ever ruin this good music...this could be my new favorite CD...so many musicians these days with zero soul-this is refreshing." - www.thesamples.com

Bio

Whether Luke Eriksen is solo acoustic playing in a intimate tone, or rocking out his tunes with his backing band it hits you all the same way. He knows how to move those who give a listen, and being so versatile allows him to do many creative things. This style and ability throws him into the lines of Ryan Adams, Neil Young, and all the great folk-rockers through the years. Many have reviewed him to be the next Neil Young, and with such feedback this is not a guy to miss.

Luke Eriksen has turned a new chapter on his music career. As a solo artist Luke has opened for such acts as Nickel Creek, Grace Potter & The Nocturnals, The Samples, and many more. Through the help of many people, artists, venues, and those in the industry, Luke has been blessed with many recent opportunities. At the age of 20, Luke is starting to push harder to get his name recognized in Vermont and surrounding areas to spread his sound of love, heartbreak, war, and society as a whole. Luke is determined to find a spot for himself in the world of music, and although the sound is sometimes off the beaten path, he feels there will be a space soon for him to fill. “I played a show the other night, and a girl in the front row was singing every word I was, so I guess I am making progress,” he said with joy. “It’s now or never.”

“Finally things are starting to fall in place…I feel I have a shot at doing something, and I hope I can satisfy all those who come out to the shows, its been a lot of fun,” stated Luke when asked about his current endeavors. Higher Ground a premier venue in Burlington recently named Luke Artist of the Month, an award they give out to a band/artist they feel is “poised for greatness.” Luke has also recently been featured on the Morning Show on WCAX Channel 3, a local station in the Northern Vermont that spans across the entire state. It seems as though things are falling in place for Luke Eriksen.
