I left this album glad Luke did his own grunt work, as everything that I loved about Sonic Youth and the Smashing Pumpkins and other bands who wrote melodic songs that rocked rather than piano ballads, while capturing some of the great parts of what makes rhythmic 80's dance pop so popular now, came out in Luke's Demo. Bio
Spending most of his adolescence in a quite Maine fishing town, Luke relieved his boredom by recording songs on his small Tascam 4 track. As the years went by he started to play these songs for people and they said they liked them. So then, he started to play them for people who didn't know him. They said the same thing. He then made his way to Boston where he made a name for himself in the performing singer/songwriter community for the two years he was there playing popular venues such as The Middle East, T.T. the Bears Club, the All Asia Cafe, PA's Lounge, Berklee College of Music and The Abbey Lounge (just to name a few). As of January 2006 Luke made the move to New York City where he has already started to become noticed in the alt-folk community. Check out his stuff.
