Bio

Luke Kordyl,
a singer/songwriter from Fremantle, Western Australia, is one of the most prolific, original musicians around town that nobody has heard of.

Having just released his first recording entitled ' the Break and Enter E.P', after playing venues around town for close to 15 years, it is time for him to officially get the ball rolling.

Playing most of the instruments himself, with the help of Paul Keenan,( ex drummer for Eskimo Joe and The Sleepy Jackson) on tracks 3 and 5, the record was brought to life in a converted basement in august of 2008.
His influences are worn firmly of his sleeve in this 6 track collection of old and new material, highlighted on 'break and enter', which acoustic grooves tips the hat to the likes of Bill Withers and Jack Johnson.
On ' Hide it away' the rock comes out in full force ending in a layered solo containing five guitars, channeling the essence of Red Hot Chili Peppers guitarist, John Frusciante.
'Help me out', a song about a broken heart ( there always has to be one doesn't there?), shows the musician baring all in this intimate acoustic ballad.
'It's about time' brings back the pace, in which the outro bares a resemblance to Eric Clapton's playing on The Beatles track, 'While my guitar gently weeps'

Having just returned from a successful summer playing a host of shows in the south of France, including a concert put on by skateboard company Element as part the 2009 Quiksilver pro surfing contest, Luke is now gearing up to tour the east coast of Australia for the first time over the summer of 2009/10. He is currently demoing tracks for a debut full length album due for release in mid 2010.
