I recently had the pleasure of traveling with the band to Nashville. There, they performed at “Tootsie’s” during CMA Fan Fair week. For those who do not know, Tootsie’s is the birth- place of many country music careers. It will suffice to say Tootsie’s is the premiere Ameri- can Honky Tonk. The band went there in awe of all the country music history. They were ex- cited to be in Nashville, but to be performing at Tootsie’s during CMA Fan Fair was over the top. Afterall, it was the first stop on a 17 city tour and what a way to kick off the tour.
As I watched all the performances, it was ap- parent to me, and others, we were witnessing a transformation. Wednesday they went on ner- vous, excited and inexperienced. By Saturday night, they owned the stage. Luk Nichols and the Other Side of Midnight had created a buzz in Nashville. It seemed that everywhere I went on Broadway, people were saying, “you’re with those kids from Kentucky. Luk Nichols & The Other Side Of Midnight are signed to the LIR Label and have been on national tour since June 2011 in support of their debut CD "Looking For The Morning". Luk was a featured performer at "The World Famous Tootsies Orchid Lounge" during CMA Fest 2011 and has been playing some of the hottest country venues in the country . Luk completed filming of his debut video this month, a remake of the classic song "Mustang Sally". The video features a cameo by the writer of the song, Three time grammy winner Sir Mack Rice. ( Mack is also signed to the LIR Label) Please take the time to look over all the info on his website, from bios to videos current tour and past. We are currently working on a few fill in dates in December 2011 as well as his 2012 Mustang Sally Tour. We are looking at the festival season as well. On Oct 28th 2012 Luk begins production on his next video " Live at Tootsies Americas Honky Tonk" filmed on location at The World Famous Tootsies Orchid Lounge" in Nashville.
