In school Luko learned classical music with private French teachers on music theory. At 10 years old he learned to play the guitar and wrote his first song; "La Bataille" one of his teachers was impressed and noted "well you'll be a singer." That little voice inside of Luko pushed him to complete Elementary School through High School. Luko finally took his education seriously while writing of the sorrow of Haiti's problems. In college his parents decided to send him to Europe to the University of Bruxelles, summer 1986. Three years later he came to the USA where he met his first wife.
