Luko Adjaffi was born Jocelyn Beauvil in the Caribbean Sea where he had the influence of his native Haiti and Santo Domingo. At an early age he spoke English, French Spanish and Creole. From a rich family, he spent his time in the most prestigious catholic schools in the Island. Fortunate by the privilege of his family background to learn early in life family values, he was born into a Christian Seventh Day Adventist Church. Luko at the age of 7 was in competition all around his native Haiti. rumor said his dad was Part Cuban and Haitian. In school Luko learned classical music with private French teachers on music theory. At 10 years old he learned to play the guitar and wrote his first song; "La Bataille" one of his teachers was impressed and noted "well you'll be a singer." That little voice inside of Luko pushed him to complete Elementary School through High School. Luko finally took his education seriously while writing of the sorrow of Haiti's problems. In college his parents decided to send him to Europe to the University of Bruxelles, summer 1986. Three years later he came to the USA where he met his first wife. In 1988 he made his first record "La Terre". After visiting the world; Venezuela Aruba, Curacao, Germany Holland, France. Luko has three children, two girls and one boy.

Prior to his traveling in 1998, Universal Records Europe approached him, with the help of Ricky St. Hillaire, with his first record deal.
