"Intimate Vibes and Good Times Win at Tweed River Music Festival"

"An impressive, multi-talented, all-female bluegrass group featuring tight soaring harmonies, clever songwriting, and an old timey vibe." - Glide Magazine

"BIG REDs 2014: "Favorite Find" Announcement"

NOTE: Our band has changed our name from "The Wiles" to "Lula Wiles" since this was posted.

"To say I was smitten with the 3 gals and their music is an understatement. Their harmonies, their musicianship, even their stage presence is something to be marveled. Their take on “You’re the Reason” blew me away. I mean, I have heard the Hank III version of it, which may kill it for some folks, but these gals just NAIL it. The swapping of instruments, the expertise with which they perform and the general feeling of happiness and joy that resonates from the stage out into the audience when they perform is unmatched. You feel good about the music because they very obviously enjoy playing it together and in front of a crowd." - Red Line Roots

Still working on that hot first release.

Feeling a bit camera shy

A Lula Wiles show is like a whiskey-slap to the heart. Gathered around one microphone, Isa Burke, Ellie Buckland, and Mali Obomsawin pass around instruments and frontwoman duties with style and ease. Their effervescent vocal harmonies, deep musical chemistry, and fresh arrangements create a dynamic and spirited live show. Lula Wiles are equally at home in a rowdy bar of two-steppers, a sweltering midsummer festival stage, or a quiet candlelit club. Raised in Maine on American roots music but schooled in contemporary harmony, they bring diverse influences to original songs that combine tradition with a distinctly modern sensibility. Their repertoire spans from centuries-old Appalachian ballads to classic country to contemporary Americana songwriting. Now based in Boston, Massachusetts, Lula Wiles have performed at premier festivals and clubs throughout the Northeast. As songwriters, these young women navigate hope and heartbreak with clever lyrics and fearless honesty. All proficient multi-instrumentalists, the three women of Lula Wiles are each uniquely powerful in their own right, but combined, they are a force to be reckoned with.
