Bio

Between the iridescent and the idyllic: if there’s a way of defining Lumen Craft’s rich sounds, that’d be the spectrum of possibilities to be encompassed. Their music covers reality with a delicate and engulfing glow whose energy resonates across spaces, taking us along throughout exuberant oniric and synesthetic landscapes.

Producer Ceah Pagotto, guitarist Noah Guper and singer John Evans, each one an artisan and dreamer in their own way, are the offspring of a city as warm as their music and prismatic as their performances, where textures and tones collide to generate vivid scenes, abundant in nuances and noises. An opulence that becomes even more crystalline as we listen to the works that comprise the EPs “Lumen Fields” and “Overseas”, both filled with tracks of strong personality, with beats as diverse in their sources as carefully sculpted in their result, being the most recent the stunning “Hot Like Lava” released through Brazilian label Uivo.

This trio is also as cosmopolitan as the metropolis that brought them together and nurtured them, somewhat that permeates each one of their shows and reflects directly onto their influences, ranging from Marvin Gaye and Bill Withers to James Blake and SBTRKT. Their trajectory put them amongst favorites of discerning listeners and took them to the stages of events such as MECA - where they share the spotlight with Oh Wonder! And Miami Horror - Inner Multi Art, Kubik and Downtown, as well as a generous feature on Popload Sessions, Brazil’s most demanding music guide, with a dashing cover of Bowie’s “Fame”, as well as many appearances throughout the city.

A creative unit being a singular synthesis of visions and desires, resulting in performances imbued with all anxieties and aspirations, talents and skills required to make them tangible and constantly remind us of how splendent that very pulsating life beneath the urban fabric can reveal itself to be, even if so dense and intense. Something quickly captured by critics and the public who received them so warmly at Spotify and garnered them featured spots in publications such as Folha de São Paulo, Brazil’s widest reaching newspaper, and MTV’s Monkeybuzz.

Lumen Craft is simply this: a chromatic and sonic phenomenon, urban and bucolic at the same time, made out of a sublime equilibrium between extremes.
