"Shepherd's Bush Festival Line-up"

There is something so raw, so heartfelt and so sweetly innocent in Lumiere's music. I feel like she is the love child Tracy Chapman and Jason Mraz will never have. I will definitely be stage focused for her performance. - Bush Birdie

"Femstock Takeover Live and Unsigned at The Attic"

The first act of the evening was Lumière Chieh who performed solo with an electric acoustic guitar. She began with songs about lost love induced insomnia and a friend’s broken heart with her sweet voice and appealing chord progressions accompanying the theme. This caused a chilled atmosphere with the front row of the audience sitting on the floor.

The set took a more serious turn when she played a song about Armistice Day because, in her words, she had “a friend in the army who didn’t come back”. Typically of the lyrical narratives in Lumière’s songs she sings in the first person narrative, as the chorus went “I’m not coming home” As she confessed it was her first live performance of the track it made for a very intimate and touching rendition. - University of Kent at Canterbury

Bio

Lumière’s style of music merges acoustic folk with a penchant for storytelling.

Her songs are stories, detailing how many times the heart can be broken and mended. Making each song her own story, she writes about others and herself, the lines blurred where each begins.

Singing about lost loves and broken hearts, you can’t help but find Lumière’s songs are about you too as she serenades playing you earnest words from an earnest heart
