Luna is a band with a great live reputation. And how does iy sounds like in a studio? Also great! Listen to the brand new CD Spiders & Butterflies. The successor of No Grip contains 10 own songs. 10 songs with each their own story, own sound and own character. From sweet like a butterfly until fear for a spider. From little and soft to big and outrageous.
The band consists of singer Nelleke Rijs who has a fabulously filled with soul voice and takes care of the vocals. Guitarist Jan Fleurkens is very experienced and solo-guitarist Roy Bistervelts provides a searing rocking sound. His voice is sore and dark. The rhythm-section consists of Jan Engels on bass and Hans Kempen on drums. Those two together make a magnificently and sometimes frivolous whole. Percussionist Marcel Barends completes the rhythms and provides for extra impulses while saxophonist Jan Dael fills the spaces. In short, music that brings you to a high and makes you go completely out of your mind.
The music is suitable for larger stages but fits very well for a semi-acoustic setting. If you want something different, think creatively and choose Luna.
