Bio

LUNA PARK RESCUE
Luna Park Rescue is a 3 piece south east England-based band formed in 2008. Alternative, Electronic, Indie and Experimental, their entirely original self – penned music is hard to categorise, yet immediately catchy. The band originally comprised of music and art students Antony Armstrong, Joe Stanley and Joe Page, who met at school. They formed their first band – a death metal outfit called Incarcerate – whilst still at school. Despite winning a “battle of the bands” competition when playing their first ever live gig at the Tunbridge Wells Forum, after only a handful of live shows they realised that their musical tastes and influences were changing rapidly and disbanded. This change in direction led to a period of intensive songwriting – many of the songs which resulted are now featured in LPR’s current live set. Joe Page has recently left and been replaced by keyboard player and singer Kath Rose.
Antony Armstrong is aged 21. He is lead vocalist, guitarist, plays percussion and is chief songwriter. He spent his early years in Australia, before moving to England aged 12. He is currently studying music production at the Academy of contemporary music in Guildford, Surrey.
Joe Stanley is aged 20. He was born and raised in Tunbridge Wells, Kent. He plays keyboards and guitar and is a fellow music production student at ACM Guildford.
Kath Rose is also 20 and is studying Art. She sings and plays keyboards.
Luna Park Rescue combine electronic beats with guitars and all manner of electronic sounds to bring a more experimental and unconventional approach to pop music. The sound is well captured on Ground Floor Power, the title track of the recently produced 4 track debut E.P., which also includes live favourites Skylit Mind, Paperplastic and Nearly Almost.
A futuresound of music.
