Don’t expect the norm from this one, for he is a true example of what music is made of. He is a man whose heart is always in the right place, and this makes for great and interesting music. It cannot be categorized, try as you might, because it comes from a place that is beyond the types, and demands only feeling and observation, no more. A taken challenge to see him live will show how analyses falter at the sight of people glowing from the heart upward. Something in his voice turns all heads once he’s on stage. His humility and sincerity bleed from him like a drug the people crave.
As one off stage he is all about what’s real, in fact that’s all that matters to him; all else is secondary and anything that isn’t is delusion ruled. With a deep respect for all life, he may refer to himself as the ‘compassionate carnivore’, being the beef farmer that he is; residing in his grandfather’s home on the farm that has been in their family for generations.
Born in Abbotsford, BC Canada, from the age of four years old his musical interest showed. Looking up to the other musical members of his family line, once a teen he was right in there doing band trips and the like, and on the piano whenever possible.
Then he began to write. And write he did. Straight from the heart! As anyone who knows him, and as anyone who doesn’t but has heard him play live will tell you... there’s just something about him...
