Lunar Funk Theory has a wide mixture of reggae, blues, funk, rock, hip hop, and jazz. In the band Improve is an important tool, It brings all of the styles together in a up and down roller coaster feel, connects with the audience, and makes every night different.
The band has been around for eight years residing in Sioux Falls, SD. Lee Walsh being the founding father of the band, writes and sings all of the band lyrics. He brings a feel good and positive vibe through all of the music adding in influences of reggea, hip hop and blues. The rest of lunar funk theory works around this style supporting Inserting more influences of jams from high energy guitar solos to sticky funk grooves. Improve is the bands greatest aspect being able to absorb and connect energy with each other and the audience giving a different show every night.
Participating in the Sioux Falls and Midwest music seen has been a blessing and a pleasure, without the fans we have whom are so positive the band would not be where it is nor would we have nearly as much fun. We hope to continue our personal search to find different ways to express our selves and share the undefined and misinterpreted Midwest culture as well as find our place in it.
