Reviewer was at event to review another band on the bill...

"When Lunar Sway took the stage they really electrified the Theatre. Using mounds of guitars and intricate keyboard parts, they really woke this reporter up and saved the concert in general" - Miscellaneous Debris Blog

Bio

Lunar Sway is an inimitable group of like-minded musicians and technicians who have created their own sound in the sometimes-monotone pantheon of rock music. Through incorporating classical piano, odd time signatures and heavy guitars while maintaining melodic choruses and pop hooks, Lunar Sway is able to sidestep many listeners’ expectations. They underscore this ear-catching uniqueness with lyrics that seek to observe, interpret, and express (without preaching) political, social and personal topics.

In addition to song writing, Lunar Sway considers themselves authors of their own professional success. Since August 2008, Lunar Sway has played over 20 shows on the West Coast filling venues from Los Angeles to Seattle. During this time, the band has completed 2 EPs and sold over 5,000 discs. Blazing a path through the uncharted territory of the new music industry, the band creates and controls all of its content in-house. With 2 studios, 2 engineers and a producer amongst its members, the band has recorded, mixed and released its first 2 EPs. The band has also designed and maintained its own website, booked 2 West Coast tours, and played festivals including SXSW. And, they’ve done all of this while aggressively building a following in their home city of Los Angeles.

Of course, the music is their passion, and it’s their passion for it that enables them to continue to make good music and get it to the people with whom it resonates. In the song "The Enemy is Me," the narrator describes his battle with an inner demon:

"He will paint the night with splendor - and numb your troubled mind
He's a smooth-tongued moral assasin - that crosses all your lines"

The band is currently working on its third EP and gearing up for its third West Coast tour.
