Lunch! was created when Chi Dr. Hansson (real name Chris) and T.R. McGillicutty (real name Jon) were in high school. Sick of the stale music scene in MA (hardcore, metal, screamo, rinse, repeat), they set out to make music completely different than anything else. Mixing their influences ranging from Mr. Bungle to The Aquabats to Gwar to Weird Al, they have mixed these into a fine soup that can only be described as "Post-Breakfast Core".
Lunch!'s goal is to make good music and have fun. They don't want to whine, they don't want to follow bandwagons, they want to blaze their own path in the music industry. With all the creativity sapped out, they want to inject some back in and they plan to do so by combining their crazy music with goofy stage show antics.
When you hear this band, love them or hate them but hopefully love them, they guarantee one thing: what you have just heard does not sound like anything else.
