Luness

A fully formed soundstorm effortlessly coalesced when Luness played their first notes together. Based in Seattle, the band speaks to the world with a voice steeped in the emerald mists of the Pacific Northwest. 

Luness is the result of varied musical traditions coming together, reaching beyond the confines of genre. This creates a dream-like sound that transports the listener into a sometimes imagined, sometimes very real world, born into being through song. 

Backed by traditional rock instrumentation, cello and electronic soundscapes, Elyse and Julia blend melodic lyrics that invoke the evolution of collective consciousness with an inclusiveness that speaks to all people. 

The group publicly launched in late 2019 with a series of shows that included their debut, opening for Human Experience at Nectar and headlining their own show at Seattle’s famed Central Saloon with Wolfchild guesting. In addition they have been producing the ‘Inception Sessions’, a series of music videos that are introducing the band to even wider audiences.

As Luness expands their reach, they use the spotlight - and the platform it provides - to shed increased light on wider social and global issues. They unify performance and audience participation into a singular but shared experience that welcomes healing, celebration and a sense of collective home.
